I used the term “public accountability” in regards to deregulation, and the plutocrats’ desire to avoid it. I wouldn’t use it in relation to the vote. But I will say that, irrespective of Russian interference in the 2016 election, we can’t lay the blame on Moscow’s doorstep. Sixty some million Americans did vote for Donald Trump (a couple million fewer than voted for Hillary, but still a very high number). What that says about the USA is something we have to reckon with.
